Kensa Toll (Cornish for “the first hole”!) is a good sized three bedroom cottage built on the site of former farm workers cottages in the traditional style and has some delightful character features including an open fire in the living/dining room and terracotta tiles throughout the ground floor for easy maintenance. The light and spacious lounge/dining room has leather sofas and chair with large patio doors letting in plenty of light and with views over the garden superb views toward the coast. The kitchen is fully fitted and well-equipped, you’ll love cooking a holiday feast, and then dining al fresco on the patio. On the first floor you’ll find three delightfully decorated bedrooms all with comfortable beds. The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and en-suite shower room, there are also two twin rooms meaning this lovely cottage is perfect for families or friends.
The bathroom is located on the first floor, whilst a downstairs toilet means you’ll never be queueing for the bathroom. There are communal gardens to the front and a good sized private enclosed rear garden.
This property is wonderfully positioned with panoramic views west towards Pentire Point and the beaches of Polzeath. Sunsets, over the coastline are particularly dramatic. The house is adjacent to the first hole with the clubhouse and leisure/restaurant facilities a two minute walk away.
The property is part of the development of The Point at Polzeath Golf course, a spectacular 18 hole course surrounded by beautiful rolling countryside. Daily and/or weekly gym and health club memberships, and use of the golf club facilities are available at the set rates. Padel Tennis Courts are a short walk away whilst tennis courts are also available on site. This is an ideal holiday home if your holiday ideal revolves around golf, swimming, beaches, dog walks (Kensa Toll is dog friendly) or any of the myriad of activities available along this stretch of the Atlantic Coast.
A short walk down the valley brings you onto Polzeath beach, one of the best surfing beaches in Cornwall with acres of flat golden sands. Lifeguards and board and wetsuit hire are available all summer. Polzeath has a selection of restaurants, cafes, pubs, surf shops and convenience stores. Within walking distance are also Rock, Daymer Bay (great for windsurfing), Pentire Point, St Minver and Trebetherick. If you brought man’s best friend with you then the options are limitless. For those that love walking, the Southwest Coastal Path has the stunning rugged Cornish coastline to admire – although there are some big cliffs and care is advised especially when walking dogs. The Camel Trail which is hugely popular with cyclists and walkers is accessible at Wadebridge and Padstow (ferry service available from Rock) where cycle hire is available.
Finally, there is a wealth of good quality local restaurants and pubs in the locality and the owners are happy to advise with recommendations.
