We seem to have been tremendously busy since Easter. Personally, Duncan celebrated a big birthday last week and we have enjoyed some wonderful celebrations with our friends.
On the business front this last quarter has showed how very important it is to be adaptable and flexible in work. Whether its finding another buyer quickly on a house sale thats fallen through or moving a tenants move in date forward due to a change in their circumstances.
Everything we do we have to be flexible and mindful of our client. Its certainly never dull.
The house in Brixworth we were marketing has been sold to some super people and this gives you a warm feeling when you know the neighbours are nice and they will happy there.
The property we have been involved in the development, also in Brixworth has been completed and is now on the market, it looks fantastic and a great buy for someone wanting a house recently refurbished.
The housing market. Duncan seems to think things are quietening down due to the increase in stamp duty for landlord, although there are still quite a few people out there looking to buy investment properties and as someone said to me today 'your money is wasted left in the bank'. The first time buyers are still out there providing they can get a mortgage. The lenders seem to be lending, if somewhat slowly.
Our objective this year has been to increase our sales and this has certainly happened. We can be flexible with our fees and work hard to compete against the online Estate Agents. This with our flexibility to adapt to our clients seems to be a winning formula.
